The Somerset ISD Education Foundation members would like to express sincere gratitude for the support received from the High School Completion Initiative Fund and Frances Margaret Seaver Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation. Because of you, 130 students in grades 3 – 8 were able to participate in the 2018-2019 “After School Robotics Program” at Somerset ISD. Our students have learned so much throughout the year and have gained valuable skills with science, technology, engineering and math, as well as project research, writing and presentation. Students have learned how to think computationally, creatively and have learned how to work collaboratively with a team. Your donation has made a huge impact on our program and has truly made a difference in our students. Not only did the $30,000 grant allow us to purchase chrome books and robotics kits along with other needed supplies, it allowed additional students the opportunity to participate in the after school program. Thank you again for your generosity!
